I have to say that this winter I’m particularly in love with the Grey and Yellow color combo. Yellow, in its kind of Ochre naunce, has been quite popular this winter. I like it a lot mixed with warm colors such as burnt orange or burgundy, and in this case it has to be balanced in order not to bee too strong and vivid. (and not to make an harlequin effect).

But Ochre is really a good friend of grey in all its shades: it helps it beeing not boring and flat, that is always the risk when wearing a total grey or black&grey total look. Also black and yellow are a nice combo, but the bee effect is quite ensured. better go safe, and more sophisticated, with this version.

Grey and Yellow are great for a wintery day look with a twist. What I present today is an outfit good for work or other day occasion.

The caban I’m wearing is by See by Chloé, few season’s ago. It’s a woolen cloth with an herringbone texture, double breasted with wide lapel, a bit Seventies style. Details as belted back and belted cuff give an authentic touch to it. It’s size 48IT (14UK), it has quite wide shoulders (but still in size) and quite long sleeves. It’s still ok for me (I needed this size because of my hips width), but it can be better on a taller girl.

Pants are no brand, as they’re made to measure with a salt & pepper grey wool cloth. They’ve a masculin cut with french side pocket and one welt pocket on the back, quite comfortable on the hips and thighter at the bottom. They’ve ribbed elastic cuffs that easily allow to wear this trouser inserted into the boots.

The scarf is also unbranded, it’s a present in 100% cashmere, square shape with fringes, in a grey melange colour. I love this scarf as it’s light, soft and warm.

The woolen hat is stolen to my boyfriend, and it’s also unbranded. Pure wool, I like the black and grey stripe and the fact that it’s a tube unclosed, so if you pull it down it can be worn as a neck warmer.

The bag is by Nannini, in real leather. It’s quite big and soft, so you can put whatever you want inside it.

The watch, already seen in my first post, is by Diesel.

The blouse is by Oltre, of this winter. It’s in a heavy crepe made in stretch polyester, and I very like the cut and the fit of it. The sleeve is very cute and nice cutted. It’s a size 46IT (12UK) and it’s right to size. It’s still available in shops and online store (http://www.oltre.com/it/shop-online/tuniche/tunica-con-maniche-scampanate.html)

I bought the necklace few seasons ago on sale at Massimo Dutti, and I really like it’s shape and the mix of materials.

The bracelet is of a brand that I used to love few years ago, and when I had the occasion to go to paris, I’ve always been going to Galery La Fayette to see and eventually buy one little jewel, very particular and at a reasonable price. It’s by Sous La Sable, a french brand. I have several pieces of this brand.

The earring… want to ask? No name (or better, it’s so old that I don’t remember where I bought it), and I have only one left. But, being quite big, I also like to wear one earring only, if my hair are tied up.

Finally, the boots are by Chie Mihara of several years ago. They are customized, because they originally were medium grey. I loved that colour, but unfortunately a day a cup of coffee suddenly felt upon then, and they’ve been inextricably stained. Being in genuine leather, to be able to wear them again in some way, i brought them to the shoemaker and I made him dye them. I really like the frontal porthole and the elasticated belt to close them. These shoes are also quite comfortable, and it’s a charachteristic that I often found in this brand’s shoes. I’m wearing a 40, true to size.

Thanks to Michele Tabacco for the pictures.

Well, I’m done for today – I hope you enjoyed!
